Kerrion Swaby-Clacken

On October 10th 2001 the love of my life was born. I was just 26 weeks gestation when I came down with Toxemia (pre-eclampsia). Kerrion was born via c-section because my health was deteriorating extremely fast. He weighed a whole 1lb. 10oz and 11 inches long when he was born. He was diagnosed with Tracheomalacia, Laryngomalacia. I was very blessed that every thing else was fine, as to having no brain bleeds or any other major complications. He was released from the Hospital on January 20th 2002 his original due date.

Kerrion Is now 20 months old and have already had one laser procedure done to remove some scar tissue from under his vocal cords. When he was scoped in February 2003, they found that he had Subglottic Stenosis and it was pretty bad. He will be going to get some more of the scar tissue removed in a few weeks and I was told recently that he might have to have an LTP performed. Ugh!!! That was something that I did not want to hear. I'm just happy that Kerrion is otherwise a happy little boy who loves to play, listen to music and and drive his mother crazy.
