Hi, my name is Sharon Glynn-Henderson and I am a mom 4 times to Garrett Jr - 9, Dante' - 7, Jeremiah - 5, and Dallas - 3 who has (NF1).

Jeremiah, was born preterm at 36 weeks gestation by emergency c-section, because, I had placenta previa and extra amniotic fluid, I didn't get to see him for almost 12 hours. I was brought pictures, of him to calm me down. I was told by the neo doctors that Jeremiah had something in his throat that was causing him to have difficulty breathing and I was told that Jeremiah seemed small in arms, legs and torso there was also some mild malformed facial features. JJ has under gone and failed a cricoid split at 5 days old, laser surgery, and then finally trached after a horrifying episode of respiratory failure.  Later I was told that Jeremiah had severe broncio and trachio malasia (which he has now out grown). Jeremiah eventually had a fundoplacation done after it was discovered much to late that he had been aspirating. A G-tube was placed. He also has Hydrocephalus, skeletal dysplasia, Chronic

Garrett Jr., Jeremiah, Dante'

Jeremiah trached at 3 months, with Dallas (NF1)

After 18 very long months, Jeremiah was release from the hospital and came home to enjoy his big brothers and new baby brother. Jeremiah is 5 now he does not walk, or talk, or eat anything by mouth, and is not allow to use a passy-muir, but he can roll over very well and puppy prop. He absolutely loves balloons and loves to spit.... he just recently out grew the shoes he has worn for 4 years of his life he is now in an infant size 3!!! Yeah J J!!

Update January 2004:  I left Alabama in July with my 4 boys and move to Springfield MA. Since then JJ has been to school, the mall, the park, and Pepboys. And he has really enjoyed his self.

On Monday December 8, 2003, JJ went to school and had a wonderful day (according to his teachers and nurse) and when it was time to come home JJ was happily awaiting his bus. When his bus arrived they boarded, JJ fell asleep and did not wake up.  The emergency team at school boarded the bus and worked on him all the way to the hospital, but to know avail. My little man is now an angle too.

Take care and God bless,
Sharon Glynn-Henderson
