Laryngotracheoplasty
with anterior and posterior grafts

- A. Horizontal skin incision incorporating stoma.
- B. Anterior laryngotracheal fissure leaving craniad one quarter of thyroid cartilage intact.
- C.Division of posterior lamina of the cricoid cartilage.
- D. Autogenous costal cartilage sewn in position.
- E. Closure of laryngotracheal fissure using an endotracheal tube as stent and removing tracheotomy tube. Anterior cartilaginous graft in position with inferior cross-piece to act as a buttress over prior tracheotomy site.
