William Seipel - Airway Before Laser

-
This is view near the opening of the trachea looking towards the lungs. The orientation is that his front is towards the top of the photo (same orientation for all the shots). Near the top of the frame you can see his vocal cords on either side of trachea.
-
Farther down the trachea, past the vocal cords. The two white bulges at the top are areas of granulation tissue, and the trach stoma itself is hidden behind them.
-
This is the same shot as 2, except that the trach tube is inserted. The tube is 5.2 mm in diameter. It comes into him from the top of the frame (his front) and turns away (down) towards the lungs.
-
Still farther down the trachea, now past the trach tube site to the split towards each lung. The white material in the right passage is dried mucous.
