Hospitalized child celebrates first birthday

AKRON -- Friends and family celebrated the life of a little boy who's been battling ever since he was born.

 
Akron Children's Hospital hosted a birthday party for one-year-old Brady Eikleberry.

We first brought you Brady's story in January.

Because of medical complications at birth, he's been hospitalized since he was born.

Brady is ready to go home, but his parents need to qualify for Medicaid’s Home Care Program first.

They are still waiting on a waiver to get Brady back home.
