The Global Tracheostomy Collaborative (www.globaltrach.org) aims to partner with hospitals and providers around the world to improve care and quality of life for all patients with tracheostomies and their families. The GTC is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, speech therapists, and patients and families working together to disseminate best practices and improve outcomes around tracheostomy care. The US GTC Kickoff was held in April 2014 in Boston, the European kick-off in London in July 2014, and an Australasian kick-off is scheduled for October 2014. You can find a link to recorded sessions from these kickoffs and information about upcoming events on our homepage. We also encourage all patients and families to enroll in a free “Patient & Family Membership” in the GTC to help stay connected to progress and developments within the global tracheostomy community.
