Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering about the chain ties. Indie keeps spitting up and it gets under the ties and they smell horrible, we are using the traditional ties with the plastic backing. Are the chain ties just the regular bathtub plug holder, or is it a special kind of chain? I want something that is easily changed and that I can clean under often and with ease and can I get them at a regular craft store? Please send your experiences my way.

Thanks Kelly and Indie.

This is the second mentioning of the chains lately, so now I'm curious too!! I just don't see how these things don't sort of cut into the neck, or at least leave a painful indention. I know some of you have raved about them, so they must not do that for you all. Tell me, does it seem that a child with a slimmer, longer neck does fine...but maybe a child with a shorter, chubbier neck might have some breakdown with chains? We even had break down with velcro ties and twill tape when Gaithy was younger because she just had NO NECK, but now that she has slimmed some and grown (she's getting more and more mobile/active lately!&#33 she rarely has ANY problem with the velcro ties..soooo maybe she wouldn't with the chains either. I just wanted to hear more experiences, GOOD AND BAD. They definitely seem cheap enough, and probably really easy to clean.

Thanks everyone,
christy

Thanks for all of your experiences, I will try a variety of different trach holders and see which one works best.
