Thank you everyone for your possitive thoughts for Jaden. Things went pretty good. They scoped him after removing the t-tube. He had a couple spots of granulation tissue that had to be removed and there are a couple areas that looked like they may still be weak and possibly need another rib graft. He has a trach back now and we will go back in a couple weeks for a scope to see how his airway looks after some time without the t-tube in place (keeping are fingers crossed it looks good). We have been able to hear his voice a little when he puts his finger over the end of his trach. It's very hoarse, but more than we have ever heard before, so that is very exciting for us. Hopefully he will at least have enough of an airway that he can start using his passy muir valve. Any step forward at this point would be encouraging.

Katie
