I think the last time I wrote, I was saying that I was worried about Jadyn after her shunt revision. Then my computer decided to not work (maybe I had something to do with that haha), and I ended up having to reformat and all that but I'm baackkk... Jadyn's doing really well. She had her shunt revision in the beginning of August, and the incision on her neck still isn't wanting to heal... and there was pus coming out of it and stuff, so I took her to the doc. last week, and they said she had stitches on the inside that were abcessed or something... so they took out the ones that were working themselves out... it seems to be drying up and healing better now. They did blood work and all to make sure that the infection wasn't in her body, and that it was just a superficial infection of the incision... and that came back fine. Jadyn herself is doing really good... she decided to show off for her PT yesterday and sat repeatedly for about a minute or so each time. I've never seen her sit, it was pretty cool. I feel like she has the strength to be able to do these things, but she is just stubborn LOL... she will sit up just fine, but once she realizes, hey, nothing's behind me! She throws herself back LOL. We've been pretty busy over the last month or so... my older son started 1st grade. We also moved kind of unexpectedly, but it has turned out to be for the best. Also, a friend of my family is talking about giving us a van that is in great condition and everything, but having me pay really low monthly payments. So I am happy about that, since our car now is very small and not running so well. Hope things are good with you all!

Sorry about the incision thing! Glad to hear about all the other good stuff

Tell Miss Jadyn to "sit up and take notice"!

Blessings,

Dawna

Amanda,
I was just thinking about you guys. Did you ever end up in Milwaukee? How did it go?

I'm glad to hear things are going well and Jaydn is doing well with sitting!

Yep, and they only made us stay overnight one night, so that was good... the rooms are A LOT bigger than the ones at the hospital in Madison, so I just slept in there with her. We've actually been up there quite a bit lately because she's had to go back for a few follow ups for this incision infection thing... hopefully no more for a few months! I am trying to switch ALL her docs. to up there though so maybe sooner.
