Erin (Sara's Mom),

You did go to see Dr. Cotton last month, right? We need an update on Miss Sara! How are things going? She's such a little spitfire! I'm sure she's keeping you busy!

Thanks for checking in, Melisande!

I'm not sure why, just haven't been on the board much lately...We are leaving for Cinci on the 18th. Surgery is on the 20th. It is scheduled as a single stage LTP, although I'm not so sure I believe that's what they'll do. You know me, the eternal optimist! Just hard to believe we could truly be nearing the end of life with a trach after so many failed surgeries.

I'm starting to feel a little anxious. Sara starts preschool in September. If things go as planned, we'll be getting home just in time for school. Otherwise, I'll be coming home to get fingerprinted and TB tested so I can go to school with her every day. (She'll be in private preschool, so no nurse to go with her.) I've been day dreaming of getting a part time job lately.

Thanks for thinking of us and I'll be sure to check in from Cincinnati. I'll be bringing the laptop this time, so it will be easier to keep in touch! Wish us luck!

Erin

Hey Erin, I have been thinking about you too! I'm glad things are going well. I will be praying for a successful surgery and hoping that decannulation is not just a dream.

I know I've told you this before, but it was so nice to meet you and I miss everyone so much, including you and Sara. I had a great time in AZ.
