I was looking through the beautiful pictures in the album and enjoyed finally being able to put faces with names.
Hope everyone will get their pictures in there soon. This was a fantastic idea.

Now, I have a question. I was noticing the trach chain (?) that Maddy has on in one of her pictures. Where did you find it mom? I would love something like that for Kenya, It is so pretty and looks so girlish.

Thanks for any help you can give me. God Bless You All.

Love from,

Judy, Ken and the 5 special Angels

We received our trach chains from our medical supplier.

They are much easier to deal with (once you get used to them in terms of how they fit, etc.).

The best thing is that we only changed them once a week with trach changes (versus the daily trach tie changes).

Hi Judy,

I make all of Maddy's chains using at least 23mm lobster claw clasps, smooth beads, at least 20 pound test fishing line (going to try that newer line called spider wire, supposed to be extremely strong) and I use 2 jump rings on each side of the trach to give something stronger to hook to. The jump rings stay on the trach, so they get boiled out each week. The chains get washed in hot soapy water, rinsed and air dried. The line is tripled through all the beads as well as double wound and knotted at each clasp and in the center for strength. Very strong!!! They have to be remade as she grows(same as the other chains), but the supplies are cheap and make a lot!!!!
Maddy loves them and I just made her twin little necklaces just like them so she didn't feel left out!!!

Love Kris
