Hi,
We went to Children's hospital for Alex's MRI this morning. Â*Our nurse was a fellow trach parent. Â*He has a daughter (she's 3) with a trach. Â*She was a preemie too and has trachealbronchialmalacia. Â*She is capped most of the time and failed decannulation in June for unknown reasons. Â*We talked for nearly an hour and it was great meeting someone that really understands our daily frustrations and challenges associated with the trach life. Â*He knows all about United and Apria. Â*He even used the previous nursing agency we used!!! Â*It was nice meeting someone that we could relate with. Â*He said they were probably going to consult with an ENT. Â*They have never met with one and it seems like a logical next step. Â*We had an appointment with our ENT yesterday and he wants to do another bronch next month. Â*We have an appointment with our pulmonologist next week also. Â*Anyway, I knew everyone would appreciate this little story especially those that went to the conference in June. Â*Its so nice to meet people that have similar situations as your own...
