Well, with her two month birthday (we’re allowed to make up birthday periods right?) Ayden got to try out a passy-muir speaking valve today. I, unfortunately, was at the office so my wife was there and I was only told about it after the fact(but I’ve been assured we’ll give it a go again tonight or I’ll throw a fit like the little boy two rooms down). It brought my wife to tears just to hear her cry, but the experience was relatively short lived with her coughing it off once and then getting rather upset. In the end, two months is quite early for this here (Ottawa, Ontario Canada) but the room was packed and many more came in when the “trached baby” made a quasi normal audible sound for the first time since her arrival. I’m a little teary eyed just thinking about it and can’t do much at my desk but think about hearing he, if only for 20 seconds or so this evening. Small things can be great things, great things are special thing, and the sound of my daughters cry will be all of the above.

That's so great!!! I remember waiting over a year to hear my Corey's first cry. There is nothing more beautiful.
