Only you know how precious those extra minutes are. There are situations for anyone without a trach that those minutes might mean life or death. But we can't live our lives that way. We also can't let the trach rule our lives. I say go for it. It isn't as if you are moving to the bush.

Stress relief for your family will do you good.

We live about 30 minutes from the nearest hospital and about an hour and 45 minutes from the nearest childrens hospital. We live in a small town of about 1500 people and we are actually looking to move to an even smaller town of about 400 people. The good thing about the small town is that the EMT station is about a mile down the road.
