Talking Decannulation tomorrow!

Hey everyone, so long time no chat! With all fatemahs appointments and me going back to school full time I havent had much time to visit the board

Just thought I would drop a line and let you all know.... Fatemahs decannulation is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!! Looking forward to hearing my daughter talk for the first time!!! thanks for all the support over the past couple years! Hope to post soon again with good news!

~Mom to Fatemah, born @ 28 w/gestation in 2009 w/grade 4 IVH on l/r sides of brain, post-hemorragic hydrocephalus - currently has VP shunt, beckwith-wiedemann syndrome, macroglossia (corrected with surgery 01/10/2011), tracheostomy, broncho-pulmonary dysplasia, slight hemiparesis on right side, g-tube, myringotomy w/tubes 01/10/2011, malignant epithilial tumour (surgery 06.03.2011), cyst on brain stem (surgery 06/06/2011), diagnosed diplegia Cerebral Palsy[/b])~

Son Felix - Born 12/26/10 at 25/6. Excessive damage to vocal chords from ET tube. Trached on 05/24/11 at Sick Kids in Ont. Canada. NG tube (possible pending G-Tube). Superior Vena Cava Syndrome due to blood clot in PICC line.

Mom to Paul, 3 years old, vented due to central apnea, very severe Chiari II, sacral-level spina bifida, g-tube, autonomic dysregulation with significant temp dysregulation, hypertension. Beautiful, happy child.

Alex, mom to Samantha born 38 weeks on March 7th, 2011 with Congenital Nasal Pyriform Aperture Stenosis, trached 3.30.11. Grade I Congenital SGS, diagnosed 11/30/11. Also mom to big brother Luke (3).
