I was not sure if I should post this on the Off Topic board or not, but since it's trach related I thought I'd try here first.
There's a website called Dear Teen Me that was started by a couple of friends of mine (and that I have contributed to). It's a bunch of authors writing letters to their teen selves (kind of a version of the It Gets Better campaign). The letters are on a variety of subjects and today's is from an author writing to her teen self about the pregnancy she had when she was 15, and about her son (who is now 12) who was born with PRS and had to be trached.
It's a powerful story for anyone - but I think especially for young mamas of SN kiddos.

Kari, mama to Sam, Georgia and Ike. Ike was born on 8/25/08 at 28 weeks 2 days after I had pPROM at 20 weeks. He was trached on 2/17/09 due to subglottic stenosis.
