Default Ventilator Anti Disconnect Strap feedback

Hello, We at Pepper Medical would like your input on our new Vent-Tie Ventilator Antidisconnect Strap and Trach tie combination designed specifically for vent dependent patients.

One of the most frightening events of any ventilator dependent patient is an accidental ventilator circuitry disconnection. The FDA reports that approximately 200 deaths and numerous injuries and liability cases occur each year in hospitals alone due to accidental ventilator dis-connections.

SURVEY-

1) Do you worry about accidental ventilator disconnections at the trach site?
2) What method do you use to prevent disconnecitons-?[*]Commercially available device?[*]Rubberbands?[*]Shoelaces?
Other- If so, what?
3) Would you be willing to evaluate the Vent-Tie strap & trach tie?
4) Would you like samples of the new Vent-Tie to evaluate? If so, please send you email and address.
