Default House cleaning products??

Hi, so we are hiring a cleaning lady to clean our house...since its always a mess and we never have time to vacuum. But I'm wondering if there are certain products we should not be using? Does anyone stick to all-natural cleaners or does it not make a difference?

Good for you for getting a cleaning lady! they rock! It was the best thing we ever did.

I try and use the new Clorox Green Works. They have a scent but they aren't very strong smelling. Our cleaning lady said that she likes it. And I really like it too.

We tried to stick with products that didn't have strong smells, but it never really bothered him that much--I think it bothered me more

Same as others - we go for something that doesn't have a strong scent. Absolutely no bleach here b/c the smell/fumes linger for days. I do have an obsession with Scrubbing Bubbles products, though.

I'e actually kind of over looked this!

I will not use bleach because of the strong smell. And I only clean when she is in the other room, so she isn't breathing anything directly.

I pretty much use lysol wipes for everything though.

I'm pretty adamant about cleaning products, just because fumes can be irritating to trached kiddos and can linger for a while. We try to use Seventh Generation or Greenworks, but I also do a lot of sterilization with hydrogen peroxide wipes. They sterilize, but don't leave a residue or have harsh fumes. Way to go for hiring a cleaning lady - between trach care and some semblance of normal life vacuuming is usually the first thing to be overlooked around here

I have always used regular cleaning products and have never had any issues.

We used Clorox Green Works and Lysol wipes for cleaning and vinegar in a pinch.

I actually got all of my Green Works stuff for free and I don't even know how I did it. I somehow managed to sign up on the Clorox website and was chosen to try new products. I got free, full sized products in the mail and a ton of coupons every month. When we moved from Charleston, I tried to update and have stuff sent to the new address and somehow couldn't get it changed over, so no more freebies. Worth a shot if anyone can figure out how to sign up. I think it was called Clorox Mom Wire or something along those lines.

I use all the same cleaning products I did before Celia however never when Celia is in the room!
Remember that any spray product's particals hang in the air and are easily inhaled by a trached kiddo!!

Definitely no strong smells, but we were also told nothing that comes in a spray - as the tiny droplets can get into the trach.
