I prefer that parents be direct with me, if there's an issue let me know and I'll do my best to fix it. Use the sandwich method. Start with a positive thing that the nurse is doing. Then address the business. Then follow up with another good thing or a segway into a different conversation. That my prefered method for dealing with such business.

Keep in mind that YOU don't necessarily have to talk to the nurse. If you feel really uncomfortable about something you can talk to the agency, who in turn will talk to the nurse for you. I've found most nurses prefer to be told things by the parents because it opens the practice of good communication.
Is the dirty cat liter because of the nurse or the cat? If the cat is spreading the liter, there's not much to be said to the nurse about the issue since that's out of her scope of duties.
Personally, I try to just come out with things before letting them fester and boil. There are many things I don't comment on because they're petty and I'll get over them within a week or two... but the majors (like destruction and always being late) should be discussed. Try coming up with activites that are appropriate and suggest them to the nurse instead of XYZ that she's been letting her do. As for the nurse that is constantly late, let her know flat out that it's not acceptable. If she showed up consistantly late for any other job, she'd be fired. It's disrespectful to you and your family.
 s and good luck!

Well I am a very direct person and my nurses know that from the get go. But then that is how I am in all parts of my life. I rarely find myself in a position where I don't fee like I can just say what needs to be said.I ALWAYS try to be nice about it though. Most people appreciate it,,others do not I think it is important that your nurse know their duties. It is their Job after all and if they were at any other job they would be expected to perform their duties.
