We still need to give Alli nebulizer treatments twice a day or as needed up to every 4 hours, but she gets so upset by having to get them with a face mask that she actually gets worse and makes herself sick from crying and fighting against it! Both times today I stopped after a few minutes and she still had to vomit from it. I will be calling the ped and pulm in the morning but I was wondering if anyone has had this experience before after decanulation? She never minded them thru her trach... Deb

Grateful thorns have roses 24 weeker now almost 11 years old and in third grade! trach-decanned for good in 2008, gtube, asthma, CP, MR, GERD, latex allergy, osteopenia, aplastic cerebellum, ADHD/OCD, 60 lbs of humor and fiest, 4'4" tall, patient at Shreveport Shriners Childrens Hospital,, and I may be leaving something out but she is happy and growing and the light of our lives! I don't know if this will help, but my 2 year old niece requires nebulizer treatments. She hates to have the face mask on, so my sister just waves the tubing in front of her nose and mouth. She doesn't fight it this way. Just a thought. Good luck!
