I wonder what Jasper's development will be like....

My niece, Caroline (who does not have a trach) is age 4.5 doesn't speak, walked late etc. She goes to a special school and is learning to speak with a type of voice box she carries with her. They don't really know exactly what is wrong with her, she had hypotonia, but everyday is just, hmm what will this bring. She is not where the "standard" is for her age, but she does well, loves school, loves cuddling. She has a happy life.

When I get down sometimes I think well we are not all meant to be neurosurgeons. I think of all the people I went to school with and most have low paying jobs that don't require much thinking, anyone can do them... sorry just me rambling,

anyway, I guess my point is, I feel better knowing I am not alone in my struggles, many people are dealing with issues with their children.
