Ya, that's my fear. I'll be pissed if that is what it is, because that means I'm certain he got it here. I guess what can you do though? That said-Sam had it and he wasn't here, so I guess now a days you can pick it up anywhere. We'll see, we should know more tomorrow when the cultures come back.

How long did they keep him in then? Just until the temp went down or did they hold him longer because of the MRSA? We'll see. I'll let you know what it comes back as.

His secretions are already thinning. This kid is so weird--he had SOOOO much thick green secretions so thick that it was plugging his trach and yet, what is he satting....99...he has so far done fabulous respiratory wise. Satting great. He got his first taste of the vibrating vest tonight-he loved it at first and then it got old.

Braden was in the hospital for 8 days, but if I had taken him to the hospital sooner instead of trying to deal with it at home with the pediatrician's help, I don't think that he would have had to stay so long. He had major issues with his sats and fever. He was on high flow O2 for several of the days.. They hit Braden's MRSA hard. He was on 3 different antibiotics including Vancomycin. It was scary to me.

I'm just now reading this and your updates. I hope they can figure out what is going on. Praying that it's not MRSA.

Oh Kate, I hope you get an answer quick. I didn't get to read this entire thing, did they check for RSV?

They did-negative, which is good.

He is doing well today--saying he is "all done" with his bed. Sorry honey.
They are scared to take out his IV because it is almost impossible to get them started-it gets scary. We're still waiting on the culture-it should be back today.
I'm guessing they'll keep him another night just to be safe. His temp got down to 98 lastnight but this morning it was back to 100...not back considering where we've been.
