I've offically kicked Apria to the curb!
And it feels wonderful! As some of you know I posted awhile back that Dh and I were fed up with Apria and their lack of service. So we switched to a new company called Advent. We finally got everything switched over last week. We would of been switched sooner but Advent was actually waiting on the manufacture of the liquid oxygen tanks, apparently the manufacture is so busy they have backorders. Advent was not happy, and kept calling the manufacture every week asking when they would be getting the liquid oxygen tanks! So far its been great with Advent and I really like them. The whole company is ran by RTs. When the RT from Advent brought out my ventilators he didnt have a vent stand so he call the office to make sure they had one, and another RT was going to bring it out right then and there! Talk about service! Advent couldn't believe I didnt have a back up ventilator or a pluse ox so they made sure I had them! So now I have two ventilators and a pulse ox for spot checking! Apria said they would be this coming thursday for their equipment. I told my DH if its not on the list Apria is not getting it back. So right now my house looks like a small equipment supply store.. 3 ventilators, 3 suction machines, 4 stationary liquid oxygen tanks, 2 portable liquid tanks, pulse ox machine, and tons of supplies. I can't wait to get apria's crap out of my house though!

I'm so glad the new company is treating you right. If I were you, I'd put Apria's stuff all in one little corner and not even let them near the new stuff!

Sounds great Becky! glad to hear you are getting a good service - of course, that is what is expected but things don't always work out that way.
Just leave the Apria stuff outside!

Becky...
I am SOOOOO glad to see this!!! I hope you like this DME as much as we like CareMax. It sounds like they are very similar.
I saw an Apria truck in front of a neighbors (whom I don't know) and thought as I drove by hmmm... I should ring their door bell after Apria leaves and see if they are happy w/ Apria let them know the other options!! haha

Deb, yes they also handle my enteral supplies. Which is great! Even though the whole company is ran by RTs they are well versed in every aspect of it.

Wow Becky thats great news... before Apria takes their stuff, do you know if you own any of it? because alot of insurance companies rent to own except for certain equipment, ours purchased everything except for oxygen concentrator ( they said when they brake down they are very costly) I would check to make sure. but i too would understand to get the stuff out as well. i am very happy that you found a company that you like, it means so much..

That is great news. Just looked at your ticker. Surely your anniversary isn't that close? Karen

They sound great! I'm really glad to hear you are getting a backup ventilator and an oximeter.
