Default Home at last

Well, I need to learn to keep my mouth shut....yeah, like that is going to happen. Joseph has not been in the hospital in over 5 years for an unscheduled visit. Well that all changed last week. Wham bam and a swollen arm and in he went. First night he was sent hme. I was angry, Next day I was not so nice and said he was not going home till we had answers and he had pain under control.

Poor baby....it took several cut downs to secure a good vein. He had a bone infection from hand chewing....his form of dealing with anger or frustration. We have fought him for years on this. Usually we win, this time he did in his own way.

Well he got started on that nasty Roceferon...probably spelled wrong. He was one angry puppy. Took two days to get him to where he would sleep at all. He was just in so much pain. He is now home. The vein blew and I would not allow any more cut downs so he has about 9 days left of shots in the legs. Still painful but all in all easier than loosing the vein again, and the doctor is sure we will loose it.

Good news, the little ninny has actually gained 3 pounds in three months...an 8 year old that nows weighs 33 lbs...we are on a roll here.

I know I have a lot of catching up to do....will start working on it.

Hugs,
Roberta

I am so glad you are home. But, uuuugh. That was gut wrenching for me to read I can't imagine watching it or what he was going through.

No apologies needed, hospitals do that to you. Sorry the vein blew and you are stuck giving the shots. Poor baby. Good to hear about the weight gain. Karen
