Question Trach Tie Question?

I have come to a problem. Kara has always worn the Dale neo blue trach ties. But, since they have changed to the duck ones and discontinued the other we are looking for something else. I HATE the velcro on the duck ones and I don't think they stick as well. They sent us the posey ties and I don't care for them either. With as thin as they are on the sides then velcro rubs Kara's neck. I don't think she could wear the Adult dale ties (she used to when she was on the vent) because with the elastic she could pull her trach out easier. I have heard of marpac but don't have any idea whatthey look like. Can anyone describe them or have a pic? Or know of any other kind?
Thanks!!!
Rachel

We have always used the adult dale trach ties. Even when Joseph was tiny and for 8 he is still tiny. We just cut them in the back and away we go.

See if you can try a few of them for Kara Beth.

We only used adult Dale ties so I know nothing about other ties. We now use sterling silver necklaces.

This is what we use. Although I'm confused because our product SKU is 0814-8218 and that one is not listed on their website. It is the infant size. It does not have that dressing attached. It's just a 2 piece velcro tie. The velcro sticks well. We like them a lot.

The PediDucks stretched too thin for Angus so the velcro stuck out either side and cut into his neck. The PediStars (next size up) was perfect and the velcro stuck extremely well - it was actually hard to undo! Angus is ventilated 90% of the time, so if it stick with that and all the pulling and tugging his trach gets as he toddles about, then the velcro must be pretty good.

I've always used trach tie twill tape. Cut it and tie it. It doesn't come undone and can't be pulled off-you have to cut it. Various widths available.
