Default The Twins Stripped At Ruby Tuesday's!!!

Unbelievable trip to the mall today. Consisted of 7 hours, taking the twins and Maisie, my mother and our nurse Michelle.
This is the boys first time-ever (in 5 friggin' years!!) in a restaurant. I was nervous of course because I didn't know what to expect.
Well, they were pretty good, watching V Cast Videos of Elmo on my phone and drooling all over my (new!) phone. Crinkled all the kids' menus and threw them and all the crayons on the floor within 2 minutes.
Then, towards then end of our short and much-interrupted meal, Maisie hiding under the table was the least of my worries when I turned my head and saw Milo beginning to remove his shirt, Elijah beat him to it!
Elijah has never removed his own shirt which is great, (but not in a restaurant!), then they threw their shirts on the floor.

Me, Michelle and my mom were like the Paparazzi shooting pics of them with our camera phones. We were all laughing so hard I think we were about to be thrown out. Well even if I did get thrown out, at least I had hearty good laugh with all my kids in a restaurant.

At the same time Maisie made a poop that began to linger so I had my mom take her to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, as we were trying to get the twins out the door, the woman who sat behind us (who had been smiling at us the entire time, admiring us), well she caressed Milo's face and she began to cry, tears pouring down her face! I felt AWFUL! This stranger was crying about my twins! She obviously felt close to our situation and was very sweet. I just felt so bad that she cried in front of her own family....that and the fact that Milo knocked her marguerita off their table. They wouldn't let me pay for another one. Very sweet experience.
That and odd, but very funny when the boys stripped- was the icing on our long arse trip to the mall.
Oh! That and Michelle pushing the double stroller through Macy's, Elijah grabbed onto these funky Christmas granny sweaters, just as I was about to laugh I saw the entire rack and then the one next to it fall to the floor! I was ready to run at this point, but a kind woman asked Michelle if she needed help, (so instead of being able to capture the moment in photos I had to help pick up the racks)-phoooo-ey! It was quite the embarrassing moment.

Just wanted to share this with you guys. I don't think I will ever stop laughing about it. I'm soooo tired.

Oh my gosh, that is a very funny story! I can just see the boys acting all crazy like that, and it makes me smile. I think its a twin thing, sounds just like me and my twin sis, we once broke a whole shelf of lightbulbs at the grocery store. By the way lightbulbs sound like bombs when they break. :-)

On a good note, I am glad Elijah took his shirt off by himself, that is pretty cool. Congrats on that, I think???? :-)

This just put a smile on my face, now I can go to bed smiling.

Oh, Kerry,

I was laughing, laughing. That is what my trips to the mall are like! I love it. Of course it is exhausting. Just think what it will be like with FOUR!!!! If you can't have sense of humor you will get no where.

Kerry,

I love your posts. That's hysterical. I felt like I was there while reading it. I love the chaos of kids - that's what it's all about!!! I love the fact that anyone else (I mean "normal" parents if you know what I mean) would be totally mad about the boys stripping in a restaurant. But you are "happy" and we are happy for you!!! It is truly the little things...

I wonder if that woman has her own story that made her connect with your family... Sweet, nonetheless.

Well, venture on, venture out. And tell us all about it!

That sounds wonderful, completely and totally wonderful.
Give those boys a big kissey from their Auntie Tess.

I am so happy that you are getting out with the boys. That sounds incredibly busy for you.

Love,
Tess

Thanks for the laugh
