Adison did something totally nasty tonight. She plays with her stoma when she is tired. Not a big deal i just keep an eye on her. Well tonight while picking at her stoma she got a little stoma booger and looked at it AND ATE IT!!!!! OMG Why did she do that! Most parents worry about there kids picking there nose and eating it i never in a million years would think she could do the same thing to her stoma.

Alli does that too. She gets trach snot aaround the outside of her stoma and if she finds it it goes straight to the mouth. Ive told her not to do that because it is gross and impoloite. Go fugure, kids and snot...Deb

24 weeker now almost 11 years old and in third grade!
trach-decanned for good in 2008, gtube, asthma, CP, MR, GERD, latex allergy, osteopenia, aplastic cerebellum, ADHD/OCD, 60 lbs of humor and fiest, 4'4" tall, patient at Shreveport Shriners Childrens Hospital,, and I may be leaving something out but she is happy and growing and the light of our lives! DECANNED 6-17-08
