Mary Carolyn's LTP is scheduled for July 5th with Dr. Cotton. I am so nervous...I find this strange comfort with the trach. She is so happy right now and I just hate to mess that up. So, we leave on the 29th because Dr. Cotton wants to do one more scope on the 30th just to check it out one more time before moving forward with the LTP.
Scared silly...

I have not had to deal with an LTP, but wanted to wish you the best. I hope it goes wonderful!

We can go through this together - Zoe has a bronch this coming Wednesday and if all looks the same, an LTP on June 7th. Right now, I feel the same as you. Life is good now, why change things? I hope all goes well for you guys. I hope I can help you out a bit by answering some questions in the next few weeks.

Brandon is also having his LTP with Dr. Cotton sometime in July. I can't offer any words of wisdom on this one, but know that you're not alone in this scary situation!!

Lots of , , and ,

Melissa

You are bound to feel scared as the surgery approaches, you have had the comfort of the trach and knowing that Mary Carolyn has been happy, it is very hard.
Val - I remember how scared you were before Matthew had his!

Good luck for the 5th July

I'm so glad you are scheduled! I am sure everything will go well and that Dr. Cotton will take good care of her!
