Nadine, welcome, and WOW, that sounds horrible. First, just know that things "happen" in this world, and there is no explanation of how we got here. Most of us beat ourselves up at first, but once you get used to the trach, it's not so bad. Where do you live? Do you have any questions about insurance or equipment or getting nurses in your home?
