So Andrew just turned two and I don't really have to worry about school for him until next year.
But I was talking to his case manager at Regional Center asking her about the process. She informed me that he would be put into a Special Ed class because of his trach.
My son is mentally fine his EI informed me that he is cognitively ahead of other kids his age and even some three year olds. My son communicates by signing. He know 70 or more signs.
My mother informed me that my little brother was always put into the mainstream classes he just had an interpreter. And he has always done well in those classes. Even better now that he is in a DHH school. Also that if they put him in a Special Ed class that they would try to keep him in them.
So now my question if they don't give me a choice how hard is it so get them switched to a mainstream class. Do you have a choice? Who makes these desicions? ( I tried asking my mom about this process but she just doesn't remember anything. That and she say's everything before age seven she has tried to force out of her mind.)
I know it's a year away but I am the biggest worry wart I like to know what is happening or going to happen(At least some things

) Plus I am young but told I look much younger so people do try to lie to me often or push me around which i do not appreciate.
Thank you for your answers in advance!
