Bronching yesterday
Well, as always in the lovely trach world we are doing the one step forward, two steps back shuffle.
Sebastian had both a flex and rigid bronch there was only a trace of granuloma left and his tracheamalicia is looking terrific, just a bit of weakness above the trach but nothing special. Infact we are not even scheduled for another bronch for at least 2 -3 months, , lol.
One thing they discovered during the flex was my son has some rather large adenoids. So large infact it sounds like he will most likely be having them removed, as both my mom and I also had to. Also, on Monday we are calling for our sleep study to get that out of the way.
Due to huge adenoids and the sudden flare up in the RSV locally ( they about shoved us out of the hospital after the surgery , lol) the once imminent decann is now on hold until spring, sigh.
Oh well, at least now we can get the adenoids and sleep study taken care of now so we can be ready for the spring...

With the adenoids removed and waiting a little bit it's probably more likely to go well. And spring will be here before you know it!

Yes, Spring will be here, and that'll give you time to get your ducks in a row.

I'm HAPPY that you can see a decan in your future! Just think about what you were doing 4 months ago and realize how fast time has flown by since then. I know KY winters are just full of crud and 1/2 snow and 1/2 ice and freezing rain. Not even pretty snow, lol! Just think, Christmas will be here in one week! Before you know it, it will be New Years, then Valentines, and then one day you'll wake up and you'll be nervous and excited and post to us "today's the day!"

Too bad you have to wait until spring, but at least cold and flu season will be over and done with and that is a good thing!! Best of luck with the sleep study and adenoids though!!
