Well, thank God, Jacob came home last night. I forgot how awful it is, staying in the hospital "round the clock". By Sunday night, we were exhausted. He is doing much, much better. They sent him home with antibiotics and some ventolin, to use as needed to help clear his lungs. Poor buddy. I am just so relieved he is doing better. Had a scare tonight though - his alarm went off, as his secretions were bubbling over and the suction machine was not working

- sats dropped to 67 quickly - thank God we have a back-up suction machine that DH had already brought upstairs. I quickly changed the tubing to the other machine and suctioned him. The whole thing lasted less than a minute, but felt like an hour. I'm still shaking! As it turns out, the power adapter had come unplugged and in my panic - who has time to "trouble shoot"?????!!!!
