I got a call at work from Nate's nurse that he was having a seizure. He had one almost 4 weeks ago and that was the first he's ever had. When I got home, she said she had called 911 because Nate stopped breathing right after the seizure and turned blue. She gave him 7 rescue breaths (the ambu bag was in his bedroom and she didn't want to leave him). Thankfully he was doing fine when I got there. The paramedics checked him over and I have been in contact with our neurologist. Very scary!!! I'm sure many of you have had similar situations! I'm just knew to this life threatening stuff!!! Thanks for listening!

That is very scary. I'm glad that Nate is okay and you had a good, competent nurse with him.
All our best to Nate and his family.

I second what Stefan said - I am glad Nate had a competent nurse with him. I am also glad he is ok. We have never dealt with seizures so I am not familiar with what happens. I hope that was the last one Nate has.
Take care, Amanda

How very frightening. Thank goodness for good nurses who can think on their feet!

Marcie,
I hope Nate's seizure was an isolated event. Just hearing the word "seizure" puts the fear of God in me, that's for sure. I hope you can get some answers as to what's going on soon. Keep us posted.

I am VERY SORRY about the seizure. Thankfully, the nurse was around to save the day. I am very happy to hear he is doing well...
Best wishes,
Whitney
