Help!!!!!!!!!!
We have been having nothing but problems getting into CHLA to anthonys pulmonalogist. there is a very good local pediatric pulmo here in town, but i am afraid to swicht, if he can be in contact with CHLA do you think that it would be okay to see him instead of the drive to chla every couple weeks???

I don't see why that would be a problem. Christina (scm) has Max's pulmonologist at Baystate Hospital in CT (closer to her home) and she uses Children's Hospital in Boston, MA for ENT. Both Doctors are in very close contact with each other.

I'd just want to make sure your local pulmonologist knows vents. I know the Director of the PICU at CHLA (formerly from St. Louis Children's Hosp) and he tells me that CHLA has an excellent program for vent-dependent kids. I'm thinking of taking Jack there for a sleep study, rather than back to STL ... sometime in the very far, far away future! (no more road trips for while).
Good luck with your decision.

Ann is right, see if the new doc can do vents. Everyone here knows I loath our pulmo but he is the only one in the state that does ped. vents. Good luck I hope all works out for you

I called the docs office and spoke with Dr.Landin, he said he works with vents, and if comfortable meeting with us, so I am going to try and get an appoitment with him next week. CHLA is great with us, but I feel that Anthony only needs to go there for bigger things, other than just a check up. BUT I made sure to ask him if he would keep in contact with CHLA and he said yes
