Wow you sure have a lot of supplies! I assume you have gotten off the trach.
I am new to all this... My 67 yr old mother has been on a ventfor two weeks now and my bro and I have decided to go for the trach. She will HATE it when she wakes up! She severe CPOD and will go to acute care after surgery for rehab. It is not likely she will not be able to get off vent, Best case she will only have to use it @ night.
Can you/anyone give me any helpful pointers or encouraging news?? Before this incident she lived a very active social life.
