Hi,

We use an extension cord with a six outlet power strip attached. Â*We plug the vent, heater and suction machine into the power strip and then plug that into the extension cord. Â* Â*It is a heavy duty extension cord we probably got at Target. Â* We've had no problems with any of it. Â*Hope this helps.

Jen,

I have the big operator's manual from PulmoneticSystems for all the LTV's (I emailed pulmonetic systems and they mailed this to me free of charge -www.pulmonetic.com- it's a binder with lots of great info about the vent) It says: "CAUTION! When conneting the ventilator to an AC power source, use only the approved LTV AC Power Adapter." But I can't find where it says that you couldn't plug the LTV adapter into a surger protector and then use an extension cord from that to the wall outlet, so maybe that is fine. However, my husband mentions that you will want to read the directions on the surge protector in order to make sure its voltage is compatible with the extension cord and you would have to get a heavy duty ext cord. My immediate thought was that you shouldn't use an ext cord, but I don't know. The best thing to do is get on the pulmonetic website and get on their question form and ASK THEM. They will tell you - and see about getting you a manual if you'd like.
GOOD LUCK with everything!! It's so great that Isaiah is coming home.
