Imogen's Dad

Hi all, I'm Peter, father to Imogen, who has a posterior glottic stenosis and has had a trach in for a bit over 2 years now. We're in Northern Australia, but have recently been in touch with a surgeon in the UK who thinks Imogen might be a candidate for LTR there. Has anybody had any experience of the UK health system, or know of the work of Dr David Albert at Great Ormond Street hospital? I'd love to hear from you if you have.

Hi Peter
I'm not used to this new format so you may have already had this message. Healthcare in the UK rivals the best available anywhere in the world. Great Ormond Street is the oldest and most highly regarded children's hospital in Britain and miracles are performed there every day.
We live in Sheffield in the north of England and have an excellent children's hospital. The treatment my daughter receives and the help and support from the doctors and nurses is absolutely brilliant.
Good luck with your quest for treatment.
Regards Olga

I am in Canada but this year I made a dear friend who used to work there. I have heard wonderful things about the progressive nature of that hospital and my friend Tracy thinks the doc's are great. Good Luck.
