Hi,

Gasping is relatively normal/acceptale but NOT COMPLETELY COMMON. The problem is if you have trouble breathing. Apart from this I believe it is not too much to worry about.

Please ask the doctors for a swallow study. Your son could be aspirating with thin liquids. My son was diagnosis with aspirating on thin liquids. At 10 months, he was tested again qnd everthing was fine. Only a test where they can see there the water is going is going to give you an answer.

For now,
1. All thin liquids by G-Tube
2. Everything else must by month must be thick.
