It doesn't sound like the doctor is looking at all the options, i would get a second opinion, there's no reason why that baby should suffer if he can be helped. there is always a way. http://www.twinEnterprises.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif my son is doing very well with his trach and he's on a vent. he's had his trach about a year and a half. good luck to you!
