Hello! My name is Rachel and my daughter's name is Kara. She is 11 months old today. I just thought I would introduce myself to everyone and let you know a little about my precious baby girl. Here is a shortened list of Kara's issues:
Rachel mommy to Kara Beth--Beautiful Baby girl born 4-9-04. Imperforated Anus(analplasty 8/04, pull-through 10/04), heartshaped uterus, Clubbed right foot (casting and now wears a danny-brown bar brace at night), Only has to the first joint in all her toes and some are webbed and does not have toe nails, Hydronephrosis in right kidney (enlarged), PDA when born but closed on its own with in 2 weeks, Right side of her chest is smaller than left (you can not tell now that she is chunky), Ulna in both arms is shorter than the radius bone and it angles her wrists outward, Trachea snakes through her chest and also has tracheomalacia which makes it collapse on itself (trach tube put in early 7/04), Flap in her nose does not close when she swallows which causes her to aspirate (Mic-key Button put in (6/04), High pallet, Microthalmia (small eyes, her left eye lid is smaller than her right but her eyes are the same size) She can see just fine, Left ear is small and lower set, Deaf in right ear and severe hearing loss in left ear, Fontanel is extremely large, Failure to thrive until 8/04, Seizures, Unknown neurological, ventilator dependent. http://pages.ivillage.com/karabethsmommy/
Sorry but our website is down right now. Ivillage is turning into lycos and they are being switched over. I am very happy to have been told about this website and am looking forward to talking with all of you.
