I received an email from Bivona's rep today letting me know that there have been problems with the ordering process between Apria and Bivona due to "the automated process of faxing orders and templates for custom tubes as well as standard products coming from Apria's central ordering center". Â*Without coming out and saying it, it would appear that the problem is Apria's central ordering center. Â*Surprise, surprise! Â*

The good news is, I was given the phone number of someone at Bivona who I can call directly every month and place the order for Jack's trachs and she will, in turn, contact Apria and get whatever paperwork they need from Apria. Â*Yeah! Â*I love companies that are proactive and work to solve the problem rather than just place blame. Â*Kuddos to Bivona!

Ann,

Hey! I hope you're doing well. Good thing that Bivona is helping you out. We just got a letter from AR Dept of Human Services denying Gaithy's CPAP payments to Apria. Yay! Here we go. So, I've been on the phone, trying to get to the right people. I have a wonderful support in Dr. Bower's ENT nurse, Tanya (she was the thin, blondish haired lady at the St Louis conference that was from ACH), and she is compiling all the info we need to show medical necessity of the CPAP. It's so crazy how our kids can NEED something in order to LIVE and that it gets denied. I've heard that CPAP can be tricky, so I wasn't really shocked about this.

Hopefully we'll give this one try and all will get taken care of. I'm probably being a bit optimistic tho! http://www.tracheostomy.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Gaithy's doing well, a bit sick this week, but looks like it's nothing serious. Hope you guys are all well.

Yeah Ann! Â*Apria is just maddening! Â*They act like they are not actually in the business of medical supplies, like perhaps it is just a front for some other thing they've got going on that none of us know about. Â*I told my liason person at Apria that every time I order, it's like the very first time, after three years of ordering the same thing every month it's like re-inventing the wheel every month.
