I was thinking about flying from either Tulsa or Kansas City to Phoenix for the Mother's Day Weekend. Is anyone else flying from those places? Also, it looks like Southwest Airlines is having some specials until January 6th. I also heard Delta is going to lower prices soon in an effort to boost sales. I thought it might be nice to fly with someone else and or share a car rental if anyone wants to.

Hi Melisanda. I hope your holiday was good. I plan on going, but will be flying out of St. Louis. I have not checked on flights or fares yet, but plan to do that soon. Southwest usually has some pretty reasonable fares from St. Louis to Phoenix. If we can work something out, I would love to fly with you or share a car.
Also, it is the weekend before or after Mother's Day?
Karen
Melisande - you may want to check with Marcie (Nate's mom), I think she plans on attending and she lives in the Kansas City area. Â*Also, as far as the date of the weekend - I was going to send out an email - but, I'll post here.
We were thinking of the weekend after Mother's Day, but Cindy Bissell has a conflict (but, can get out of it if necessary - I think). Â*Anyone remotely interested in attending the weekend, please let me know which weekend works best for you:
May 13-15
May 20-22
Again, if it's not a problem for everyone else, I think the weekend of the 20-22 works better for at least one of us (Cindy B.).
Please email me with your preference so we can get the dates picked and people can start making reservations.

Hi
I'm not leaving form those areas. I'll either be coming from Cincy or Columbus, OH depeneding on which flight is cheapest.
Also I'm more than willing to share rental car expenses. I don't drive at all. So I would need a bit of help getting around Phoenix.
As for which weekend it doesn't really matter to me.

Either one of those weekends would be great!! I am very excited to finally meet everyone. I am flying out of Denver, so I believe I will be on my own.
What other "plans" have been made for that weekend? Where are people staying??

I am pretty sure either weekend will work for me, too! I will be flying out of Orlando, so it will probably be alone. I can't wait!!!!!!

Either weekend is good for me. I am coming from New Jersey so if anyone from the East Coast wants to meet up let me know.

Hi guys,
The later weekend, May 20-22, would be best for me. I was looking into flying from Utah, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I am sooooo excited!!!!

Is everyone invited? I would love to come if I am invited. Are we going "sans enfants?" Would love to have more information if I could!!
It looks like the weekend of May 20-22 will work the best - so plan that weekend. Â*I'll be sending out an email to get more specifics regarding what time frame people think they will be in town so we can better plan.
Everyone is invited! Â*In fact, the airway nurse at Jack's pulmolonolgists office asked if moms from Phoenix could join us even if they aren't active on the trach board - the answer being "Yes". Â*I see it as a weekend of respite and fun for all the moms of our high maintenance kids (and dads too!). Â*Also, for any of you who have other friends who have "special" kids (not necessarily limited to trachs) and they want to come along with you, that is also fine. There are no limitations on who can come out for a weekend of fun and relaxation.
I'll be in touch with everyone via email soon! Â*
