For those on vent or cpap with a heater what do you put the temperature setting at?
We put Jack's vent heater at 37 and his humidity at -2. In the winter, with the cooler air and the heat running (yes, we do occasionally run heat in Arizona!), he tends to get a lot of water build-up in the tubing, if you are experiencing that type of problem, you can turn the humidity down further or lower the temp a little.

Jonathan's heater does not hav a humidity setting, just temperature. We set it at 4.5 which usualy show's about 33 degress C. We have vent tubing that has a catch bin for the water so we empty it out allot. We fond that the winter was so dry that we added a humidifer to the room as well to humidify the air.

We have a Fisher & Paykel cascade humidification system, which really wasn't designed for our vent, but it works. We have mostly set the temp at 34 degrees celsius. We upped it to 36 when the weather started to change here and Donovan seemed to have some blood in his secretions in the morning. Now, there's too much rainout in the vent tubing, so we just lowered it back to 34. You might want to talk to the respiratory therapist at the equipment company. They should have a suggestion too.
