For those of you that use the LTV ventilators, I just received word that Pulmonetics just released their new "Transport Battery System".

The system features a 2.7 lb. Lithium Ion Battery, an LTV Transport Pack and a Lithium Ion Battery Charger. Each Lithium Ion Battery provides three hours of extended operating time to the LTV. The battery features a five-segment battery charge status indicator for easy assessment of remaining battery life, and alerts the operator when the battery reaches a 20% remaining charge with a flashing yellow LED. The LTV Transport Pack was designed for convenient transport of the LTV and Lithium Ion Battery, and features a variety of versatile carrying and mounting options.

For as much as we travel, this would be ideal for the pool, zoo, museum, etc. Sounds and looks good, but I wonder how realiable it is.

Thanks Karen for getting the word out. I know for me, there is no way insurance will pay for an "upgrade". But, I know you have awesome insurance, so hopefully you can get it. Let us know how it goes!

Hi

I asked our equipment company about it last week and they said that they wouldn't touch it for a year at least, to make sure all the kinks had been worked out. Oh well, at least now I'm saving money by not having to go to a gym to work out I get a work out from lugging Jimmy's batteries around. http://www.tracheostomy.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
