Straight cath

my baby has a trach and a vent and she also needs to be staight cath does anybody do this if so how do yo wash the catheter? thanks

My son Jimmy has been cathed for the past two years. We have never had to wash the catheters as the insurance has provided 120 per month. I would push your insurance for this as it will help to cut down on the amount of UTI's. Your child will still get UTI's due to the fact of being cathed several times a day.
