Hi and welcome to the board. I am another one that is scared to take my daughter around water. I just did start giving her a bath in the bath tub:) Anyway welcome again. Gretchen

The water issue. This has come up so many times. I am not sure what I can tell you because I have mixed thoughts. I do let my daughter around water but, under a controlled enviroment and what I mean by this is. I don't want my daughter to feel different or miss out on things. So I let her take baths in the bath tub and will let her sit in a baby pool (with me). As far as a boat? That to me is a little more risky because even though nothing may happen ever. I would still worry and take caution to what could happen and what would be the outcome. I mean could you act quickly? The water is so much deeper than a baby pool or a bath tub were your feet are planted on the ground were you would beable to control the situation better. All water really is a risk. The only advice I could give you is to go with your gutt feelings and trust yourself. If you feel it's to risky than I suggest you don't do it. I hope in some way I helped but, like I said this is a really touchy subject and everyone has different opinions.
