We use a nellcor and love it.....it's not died on us during travel yet. We usually don't use it over 2 hours unplugged. However, we also use a power inverter. (I believe that's what it 's called). It plugs into the cigarette lighter and then into the plug on the end of the pulse ox. This keeps it charged and doesn't use the battery. They have been a life saver to us. I wish they made one strong enough(enough voltage) to hold the compressor. (for the mist collar). The only ones I've seen attach to the battery, therefore the car would have to be stopped. Not much help when your traveling.
Hope this helps.

Hi

We have a Nellcor 190 and the batter lasts for a little over 8 hours. This has really been a life saver for us as well. Our old Nellcor's battery didn't last very long at all. One warning, we just had to have the battery in our new one replaced and it was very expensive.

Take care
