laryngitis after scope and downsized trach??

Do you think it could have had anything to do with the new length? Peds have longer canulas than neos. . . Just a thought. Deb

The same thing happened to Evan once after a scope (although the trach size stayed the same). He could make no noise for about a day, and was pretty hoarse for a couple of more days. The doctor said that sometimes the scope causes swelling impacting the vocal cords. Good luck!

Kyrsten is usually hoarse after a scope. I think there is some swelling involved.
