I was just wondering if anyone's child has participated in a pulmonary rehab clinic? I was chatting with my boss today and years ago, she did an internship at Children's in the pulmonary rehab division. She worked mostly with kids who had CF, but I guess there were other lung diseases mixed in there.

I guess they would put a pulse ox monitor on the child and have them walk on a treadmill or ride an exercise bike, etc., while being closely monitored. In some kids, it helped to improve lung function, in others, it helped preserve what they had. But it also gave them a time of interaction with other kids who faced the same issues. So, a little support group too.

Just wondering if anyone else had either a) looked into it b) if you decided to do it, what results (good and bad) have you seen or c) if you decided against it, why?

I'm going to ask the pulmonary doc about it, but just wanted some feedback from those who know best!
TIA!
Jen
