The other night I took Nate's trach out to clean his stoma, change his ties and apply his ointments. He discovered how to make fart noises by occluding his stoma with his chin. He was running up and down the hallway, making fart noises and I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants.

This is the video that my husband took last night.

That was so funny - you can see how much he enjoys making everyone laugh! Can you really just take his trach out like that and leave it out? It'd freak me out!:)

We are currently preparing to decannulate. I've been able to take his trach out and leave it out for a few minutes while I clean his stoma and change his ties. He tolerates it very well.

Our sleep study is scheduled for 2nd week in June and decann is scheduled for last week in June.

I think we are waiting because the ENT doesn't have any opening until the last week of June for surgery.

Thanks for clarifying that. For a minute I thought I missed something. That is so dang cute that he's enjoying that little game so much. Best of luck in June. It's coming up fast.
